Company profile
In 2002, ART Asamer Rubber Technology GmbH, a young dynamic company of the Asamer Group, then under the name of GVG, set up the most modern old tire granulating and milling plant in Europe.
Sustainability, responsible treatment of nature, and optimal use of existing resources are mottos and company philosophy at ART. These considerations form the basis for a quantum leap in the reuse of old tires which differs fundamentally from the previously practiced thermal reuse and simple landfill dumping and which follows ART’s principles formulated above.
The plant set up by ART breaks down old tires into their components rubber, steel, and textile cord. The end product is high-quality materials which can be used for the manufacture of new products such as fall protection mats, step noise damping, sports equipment, playgrounds, etc.
Art also developed its own reutilization tracks leading to new products for the steel and textile cord portions which arise during reprocessing.
Between 5.5 and 6 million old tires arise annually in Austria alone. Through the ecologically and economically sensible reutilization of old tires, ART makes an important contribution to the sustainable use of natural resources and thereby to the protection of the environment.
ART's own Innovations
ART creates its own scientifically grounded and practical solutions. The result is innovative products – simple, intelligent, safe, and economical. For our customers, we develop fast, flexible, and reliable tailor-made applications. Our goal is achieving the highest quality and taking new paths while doing so!
ART Innovations Can Save Lives
With the newly developed driving-over protection (bike-protect) from ART, motorcyclists are protected from serious injuries and the consequences of accidents. bike•protect prevents collisions with sharp-edged uprights, catching on guard rail uprights, and sliding under the guard rail.
The new (car•protect) guard rail system, which has already been approved in Austria, helps to effectively reduce the destructive forces that affect the car’s driver and passengers during an accident. This applies in particular to serious head and spinal column injuries.
bike•protect and car•protect reduce speed gently during an accident and reduce the force of impact. These tested systems reduce the destructive forces which affect the motorcyclist and car driver during an accident.
The old tires become rubber granulate and rubber dust - a sustainable raw material for the proven driving-over protection and the new guard rail system.
The product is useable in many ways, long-lived, and recyclable. Place your trust in the proven safety system and, at the same time, make a responsible contribution to the protection of our environment.
With the development of the sustainable ASAflex masterbatch, ART has made yet another important contribution to the full recycling of old tires. The rubber dust, which is prepared so as to be as fine as possible, is sold compounded into masterbatches after pretreatment and resold to the automotive parts supply industry. ASAflex products offer interesting qualities for automotive components and are used in a number of processing procedures in the plastics industry.
